Carl Friedrich Gauss (1777-1855)
Gauss is considered to be the greatest scientist in the nineteenth century, at the age of 7, his teacher challenged him to sum up all integers from 1-100 and within few seconds he was able to built up an equation and showed to his teacher. His discoveries and writings lead helped people over in Physics mainly in the Electromagnetic waves. He is considered to be the third greatest scientist after Newton and Archimedes.
